director and editor Dimeji Ajibola has passed away after battling an undisclosed illness
“Dimeji Ajibola was my client and guy! So sad to hear this sad news. Rest in peace to a great guy! Sad Sunday as director of Shanty Town Passed away!”, he wrote on Instagram.

Ajibola was the director of the 2023 Nigerian crime thriller series, ‘Shanty Town,’ and the brain behind ‘Hoodrush,’ a 2012 urban musical film that won multiple awards. S

Ajibola’s films earned him several awards, including: Best Actor and Soundtrack at the Nollywood Movies Awards, Best Supporting Actor at the AMAA
and Best Movie at the 2012 Green Me Film Festival in Germany
