Breaking: Court Sacks Alake’s Baale In Kajola Iboro, Ota

A High Court Sitting in Idi-Oke, has on Tuesday, restrained Odetogun Moruf from parading self as Baale.

In a case with suit no HCI/ 130/ 2024, Mr. Odetogun Moruf, who was earlier installed by Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Gbadebo Adedotun, was ordered not to further parade as Baale of the town.

VOA News report that Kajola Iboro, Ota, an Awori town which shares border with Atan, Ota, Oke-Ore and other Awori towns is historically under the jurisdiction of Olota, but the ‘expansionist tendencies’ of the Alake paved way for an ‘illegal Baale’ to be installed in the town, a move that has been thwarted by the High Court sitting in Idi-Oke.

Meanwhile, details of the court proceeding are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
