Breaking News: Court Dethrones Oniju Of Iju Gbalefa, Oba Sodeinde, Declares Amosun’s Installation ‘Illegal’

The Ogun State High Court sitting in Ota, has dethroned the Oniju of Iju Gbalefa, Oba Olufemi Sodeinde , declaring his installation ‘null and void’.

In the same vein, the ruling which was delivered in suit number HCT/220/2018 at Court Six on Wednesday, awarded a fine of One Million Naira against Sodeinde, which is to be paid to Alagbe’s family. VOA News gathered.

Recall that former Ogun state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun through his Commisioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Jide Ojuko, installed Sodeinde, an Owu man as the Oniju of Iju, Ota against the wish of the people of the town.
