Aina-Aladi Family Has Lost A Great Scion – Dapo Abiodun Mourns Grand Chief Imam Of Ota

   Ogun state Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, MFR, has mourned the passage of Grand Chief Imam of Ota, Sheikh Imam Muhammad Sadiq Buhari Aladi, who passed on to glory on Sunday, 16th June, 2024 at very ripe age of 95 years.

Prince Dapo Abiodun, in a letter personally signed by him, described the late Chief Imam as a ‘caring Patriarch and a great scion’.

“I received the news of the transition of the Chief Imam of Ota, Sheikh Imam Muhammad Sadiq Buhari Aladi, which occured on Sunday, 16th June, 2024 at the ripe age of 95 years.

On behalf of my family, the Government and the good people of Ogun state, I convey our deepest condolences to the entire Aina-Aladi family and the Ota Muslim community over this irreparable loss.

No doubt the passing of the Chief Imam is a loss of immeasurable portion that transcends many boundaries, leaving a great vacuum that will be difficult to fill. The Aina-Aladi family has been deprived of a caring Patriarch and a great scion”. The letter reads in part.

Dapo Abiodun stressed further that Ota Muslim community had in the late Aina-Aladi Patriarch, a ‘dependable religious leader, who held the tenets of Islam in high esteem’, adding that Ota and especially, the muslim community will miss his ‘measured intervention and treasure of wisdom’.

The Governor prayed Almighty Allah (swt) to comfort the family and give them the strength and fortitude to bear the vacuum created by this loss.

Recall that the grand chief Imam breathe his last on Sunday while Muslim faithfuls were celebrating this years Eid-el-adha festival.

Meanwhile, VOA News gathered that his Firdaus prayer will hold on Sunday, 23rd June, 2024 at Ansar-U-Deen Comprehensive College by 10:00am.

VOA News report that ‘Baba Imam’ as fondly called, was a very lovable and respected man of God, who held on to his faith till he breathe his last.
