A noble group in Awori land, Association of Awori Intellectuals (AAI) has elected her first female President.
This was made known in the association’s annual general meeting held on Sunday, 26th January, 2025 at D C’Sars hotel in Ota.
Accepting her new role as the first female President of the association, Princess Feyikemi Banuso Lawrence, expressed satisfaction in her new role, citing that she has taken her new role as a challenge to further reposition the group and Awori land as a whole. VOA News learnt.
Meanwhile, Dr. Prince Saheed Adesunkanmi Oyede has also been elected as the first Vice President while Hon. Jimoh Lukmon, popular as Ji Masun in far away China was elected as the diaspora Vice President of the association.
Recall that Association of Awori Intellectuals is a group of individuals in Awori land who are posed at redefining Awori land, especially in the field of academics and this they have done for more than a decade.
