Relief seem to be underway as Laralek Construction Limited, the company responsible for the long-anticipated construction of the Ota-Idiroko International Road, has assured the public of delivering a high-quality project.
At a strategic meeting held on Monday with the CEO and Founder of Laralek Construction Limited, Engr. Olalekan Adebiyi, who was in company of the organization’s Project Manager, Engr. Muhammad Shabbir, he reaffirmed the company’s commitment to excellence.
Laralek’s management expressed their willingness to engage local youths, both skilled and unskilled, in executing the project.
“This initiative aims not only to ensure the successful completion of the road but also to provide opportunities for youth empowerment and community development. The organisation is scheduled to meet with the broader youth leadership during the week to kick-start the recruitment process and address any misinformation or misconceptions.”
Regarding the quality of the project, ‘Laralek is known for its significant projects nationwide—including recent works at the National Assembly and key road constructions in Lagos linking the state to Ogun. He reiterated his commitment to delivering a top-notch road within the stipulated timeframe, without compromise.
The management also highlighted their past interventions in the Kingdom, including their roles in the construction of the AIT/Ikola/Ota Roads and the maintenance of the ever-busy Oju-Ore, Ota Road.
They further emphasized the creation of alternative routes to ease vehicular movements during peak periods as work progresses on the Ota-Idiroko Road.
Responding on behalf of His Majesty, High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun commended the management of Laralek for their professionalism in addressing the challenges encountered so far.
He also appreciated the company for fostering open communication with local youths, which has been instrumental in the project’s progress.
In conclusion, His Majesty assured Laralek of the Kingdom’s unwavering support, noting that the project’s completion will not only boost Ogun State’s economy but also strengthen economic ties across West African countries.
Also part of His Majesty’s delegation were; the Akeweje of Ottaland, Chief Rafiu Bakare; the newly elected Otta Youth Assembly President, Prince Adefolarin Ojugbele, and the Principal Secretary to His Majesty, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi.
