Id-El-Kabir: A Season Of Charitable Sacrifice – AMORAN State Secretary, Com. Oluwatoyin Kamal Kelani (K’Square)

 Comrade Oluwatoyin Kamal Kelani, widely known as K’Square, has urged Muslims in Nigeria and Ogun State especially to see this year’s Eid-il-Kabir as a time to make charitable sacrifices.

K’square, who is the State Secretary of Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) Ogun state chapter, said this while addressing newsmen during a Sallah message to Muslims in Nigeria and Ogun state in particular.

He said that Ileya, as it is common practice for Muslims is to be celebrated according to the commandment of Allah and the tenets of Islam. He emphasized that it do not only signify the sanctity or obedience to Almighty Allah, but also an avenue to be charitable to friends, family and people in need.

“Ileya do not only signify the sanctity of obedience to the creator, but also represents an avenue for us to be charitable to our friends, family and people in need.

“As a manifestation of charitable practice,  Muslims should make sure that no impoverished member is denied the opportunity to partake in the sacrificial feast during Eid-el-Kabir.

“As it is common practice in Saudi Arabia, meat from slaughtered rams of each pilgrim is packaged and conveyed to the needy across borders of the world. Muslims should emulate this in a show of love and charity to our family, friends and the needies, most importantly”.

Speaking on the safe and secured movement of passengers through Motorcycles during the yuletide, Com. Kelani said that the State Chairman of AMORAN, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle has urged his team of excos to further enlighten Motorcyclists to see proper caution during the yuletide in order to prevent avoidable accidents during and after the festival.
“This festival holds special significance because the Day of Sacrifice marks the crescendo of the Hajj, Islam’s fifth pillar. So, we urge our people to tread cautiously as they visit friends, families and recreational sites to enjoy thr yuletide. As a result, the state Chairman has urged we excos to proper educate commercial Motorcycle Operators on the need to be more cautious in this season of yuletide so as to avoid stories that touch”.
K’ Square urged Muslims and residents of Ogun state to enjoy the blessings inherent in the season of sacrifice and to take time to reflect on the teachings of Eid-el-adha.
 Muslims all over the world will today gather to mark the beginning of new tomorrow will mark the beginning of the holy month 1445 AH-2024.
