During his interview with VOA News Correspondent, the President-elect expressed his elation at his emergence while reeling out his plans during his time in office.

He stressed his deep-sated responsibility to ensure that the contact system employed by the assembly is purged and changed for better in order to make Ota Youths become a formidable force to reckon with throughout Ogun State.

“We are going to be strategic a lot in order for all industrial entities in Ota to include us in a worthy manner when discharging their cooperate social responsibilities. We’ve been doing this in isolation but in this case, we are going to work in full force by making sure the industrial entities in Ota all see this as something that they cannot do without”.

He argued that Ota youths are now more civilized and are ready to see dialogue as a means of dispute resolution instead of confrontations.

“Ota youths have woken up, we are now much more civilized and we are ready to claim whatever belongs to us by dialogue and by technical approach.”

When asked about his plans to harmonize the various factions of youths within the town with different orientation, he assured against any form of segregation from his administration irrespective of individual differences.

In his words, “I’m very much ready and I’m already relating with my brothers and sisters who are youth of Ota, and I’ve been working tirelessly even before I assumed the post and I’m sure we are going to flow together. I’m going to relate with all levels of individuals that constitutes the youth and by God’s grace we are going to achieve something very great.”

The competence of the newly-elected President was affirmed by the Chairman of Otun Youth Assembly, Prince Taiwo Babalase. “We are supposed to be learning from them but as it is today, they should emulate all these characters, transparency, accountability, all virtues we’ve demonstrated so far,” he stated.

Com. Azeem affirmed the legal backing afforded to disgruntled parties to challenge the electoral process.

“Ota Youth Assembly constitution, sections 31-35 has given laid down rule to people who are not satisfied with the process , but we know that we have done justice and we have done the best that anyone can get anywhere; but whomever that’s not comfortable with what we have done should adapt and implement sections 28-25 of the Ota Youth Assembly constitution to seek judicial regress in the electoral tribunal.”

He went on to extol the virtues of Voice of Awori news and the doggedness with which the post-election process and the main election process was captured.

Prince Adefola Ojugbele alongside his newly elected executives would be sworn-in in a day that would be communicated by the electoral committee Chairman. VOA News gathered.
