Man Commits Suicide By Hanging

A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man has reportedly committed suicide in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

VOA news investigations revealed that the incident happened on Monday morning at the L.Adisa area in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.

Our correspondent’s findings revealed that the deceased’s body was discovered in the bush at the back of World Oil Petro Station hanging on the tree on the Ibadan-Oyo expressway.

The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear as of press time.

As of press time, the security operatives comprising Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, and Western Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun are currently at the scene to evacuate the corpse.

When contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso confirmed it, saying investigation has commenced on the matter.

Osifeso said, “The matter is undergoing investigation. Updates will be provided accordingly, please.”
