Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun announced the immediate construction work that will begin on the 17-kilometer Sango-Ijoko road, which had been divided into two sections for quicker completion. Additionally,he said the 3.25-kilometer Alagbole-Ajuwon-Akute road will be fully completed and commissioned by the end of February 2025.
VOA news reports his recent inspection of road projects in Ifo 2 State Constituency, he reaffirmed their commitment to addressing the infrastructural challenges faced by residents. Just a few months ago, he promised to rehabilitate critical roads in the area, and today he is delivering on that promise. ”The Alagbole-Akute road is already completed, while the Ajuwon-Akute road is nearing completion,” he said
”We have instructed the Ministry of Works to prioritize the worst sections of the Sango-Ijoko road, and decisions on specific areas of focus will be made in collaboration with residents. This constituency holds immense importance to us as a vital border community with Lagos State, and we are determined to enhance the experience of cross-border movement for our citizens”.
He urge residents to use and maintain these roads responsibly to ensure they serve their intended purpose.
