Drama ensues between in-laws as bride’s family from Mbaise demands ₦1 million as bride price. The air was thick with the scent of palm wine and other prepared food are ready as both the groom and the bride families gathered for what was meant to be a joyous occasion—a traditional marriage ceremony.
Everybody gathered as the groom stood tall in his finely tailored senator wear, his heart was filled with excitement. His bride-to-be, sat beside him, glowing in her richly George wrapper. Few village elders, where there in their red caps and flowing Isiagu, nodded approvingly as the ceremony began.
